Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

This Privacy Policy explains how AppleBitcoin handles your personal data. Paying in cryptocurrency is privacy-first by design — we ask for the minimum we need to fulfil your order.

1. What we collect

To process an order we collect your shipping address, an email address for your receipt and order updates, and the details of your order. We do not ask for or store bank or card details, and no account or ID verification is required to shop.

2. How we use your data

We use your information solely to process and deliver your order, provide support, handle returns and warranty claims, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Cryptocurrency & on-chain data

Cryptocurrency payments are processed on public blockchains. Transaction details (such as amounts and wallet addresses) are inherently public on-chain. We use this only to confirm your payment and settle your order; we don’t link wallet activity to you beyond what’s necessary to complete the purchase.

4. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to keep the Site working (for example, your cart and display-currency preference, stored locally in your browser). We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand and improve how the Site is used.

5. Sharing

We share data only with the partners needed to fulfil your order — for example, shipping carriers and our crypto payment processor — and only the data they need. We may disclose information where required by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. Checkout is non-custodial: your payment settles directly on-chain and we never hold your funds.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us.

8. Data retention

We keep order records only as long as necessary to provide support, honour warranties and returns, and meet legal and accounting requirements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

9. Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law applies, we process your personal data on these bases: to perform our contract with you (processing and delivering your order); our legitimate interests (preventing fraud, securing the Site, improving our service); your consent (for optional analytics or marketing, which you can withdraw at any time); and to comply with legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

10. International data transfers

We ship worldwide, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including by the carriers and payment processor that fulfil your order. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your data when it is transferred internationally.

11. Service providers we share with

We share the minimum data necessary with the partners that make your order possible: shipping and logistics carriers (to deliver your parcel), our cryptocurrency payment processor (to confirm payment), and infrastructure providers (such as hosting and bot-protection via Cloudflare Turnstile). These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

12. Marketing communications

We only send marketing emails if you opt in, and every message includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional messages about your order (confirmations, tracking, support replies) are not marketing and are sent regardless, because they are necessary to fulfil your purchase.

13. Security incidents

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. In the event of a personal-data breach that is likely to affect you, we will notify the relevant authorities and affected customers as required by applicable law, and take prompt steps to contain and remediate the incident.

14. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time and will post the current version on this page, with the effective date reflected by publication.
